Ale Hop is the project of Alejandra Cárdenas, a Peruvian-born artist, researcher and experimental musician based in Berlin. After working in Lima's underground music scene, Cárdenas began the solo project in 2012. Live performances combine extended electric-guitar techniques, real-time processing and electronic synthesis. The wider practice also includes sound and video work, research, and music for film, dance and theatre.
Recorded during the first OCTUBRE.TV x CODEX CLUB collaboration at Loophole, Berlin, this film documents Ale Hop's live audiovisual set. The Peruvian artist combines electronics, noise, and image in a tightly constructed performance.
