OCTUBRE.TV does not use cookies or browser storage for analytics, advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling.
The website uses local browser storage only for functions requested by the visitor, including remembering the contents of the shopping basket and display preferences. If a visitor signs in, strictly necessary authentication cookies are used to maintain the session. A short-lived technical cookie may also remember the sidebar state for seven days.
External checkout pages, including Stripe Checkout, may use cookies on their own domains. These technologies are controlled by the respective provider and are subject to its privacy and cookie policies.
Website statistics are produced through a self-hosted system running on OCTUBRE.TV’s server in Germany. For each page view, it records the date and time; the requested path and query string, limited to 2,048 characters; the external referrer on the first page load; device category; browser category; country derived from infrastructure headers; viewport width; and UTM campaign parameters when present.
The system also creates a daily pseudonymous visitor identifier by hashing the IP address and user-agent with a salt that changes each day. The IP address and full user-agent are not stored. The identifier is truncated and is not used to follow visitors across different days or websites.
The analytics system does not use cookies or browser storage and does not record scrolling, time on page, clicks, heatmaps, form contents, or text entered by visitors. It respects Do Not Track and excludes administrative and technical routes.
Event-level analytics data is retained for 30 days and is then deleted or retained solely in aggregated form.
When you subscribe to the OCTUBRE.TV newsletter, we collect your email address, selected subscription preferences, and the information needed to record your consent. We use this information exclusively to send the updates you have chosen.
We do not sell subscriber information or share it with third parties for advertising or independent marketing purposes. Information may only be processed by service providers strictly necessary to operate the hosting and email infrastructure, acting on our instructions and subject to appropriate data protection obligations.
You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter. Your subscription will then be removed, except for any minimal record that must be retained to demonstrate that an unsubscribe request was respected.
When you place an order, we process the information needed to manage the transaction, payment, delivery, communication, and any subsequent request. This may include your name, email address, billing and delivery address, order details, payment reference, and correspondence.
Order information is not used for newsletter or promotional communications unless you subscribe separately. It is retained only for as long as necessary to complete the transaction, resolve related issues, and comply with any applicable record-keeping obligations.
If you contact OCTUBRE.TV, we process the information contained in your message in order to respond. Messages are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose or to document an agreement or rights request.
Personal information is not sold and is not shared with third parties for advertising or unrelated marketing. It may be accessed only by providers strictly necessary to operate the website, hosting, email, payment, delivery, or technical infrastructure, and by public authorities when legally required.
The website is hosted in Germany, within the European Economic Area.
Subject to applicable data protection law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados: cnpd.pt.
This policy may be updated if the website, newsletter, shop, or technical infrastructure changes. The current version will always be published on this page.
