Arturo Bastón is a Mexican self-taught audiovisual artist based in Barcelona. His work moves between music video, animation and found-footage montage, combining material from different genres, sources and visual systems. Earlier experiments with manipulated photographic negatives developed into a broader practice of digital collage and image recycling.
Arturo Bastón builds a film for Alppine's “Impro” from found footage, montage, and rhythmic repetition. The piece translates the track's improvised structure into a shifting visual sequence.
